This was our second Carnival cruise. Our first was on the Triumph. Getting on the ship went faster this time. The yellow chairs that we had to sit in line and wait, went pretty fast. The transfers from the airport to the ship is well worth the money. The initial picture line was a little slow.

Leaving out of the Mississippi River was a trip in itself. You really feel the ships every move while on the river. The river water is nasty, and not much to look at. This is the time to walk the ship, and get to know your way around.

Fountain cards are a must. This is a true money saver. Take a large insulated mug with you for during the day if you want tea or lemonade. We could not find one in the gift shop while on board. Didn't have any luck finding any in ports either.
