Just returned from our first cruise on the NCL Star! Wow, what a trip. I guess I'll just start from the top.

Embarkation - Because we had never been on a cruise ship, the embarkation process scared me a bit. I had heard horror stories about getting your tags...waiting in long lines, etc. However, from the time our rental car shuttle dropped us on the curb (approximately 12:30), a woman was there to direct us on which way to go. The entire process went very smoothly, and took no more than 30-40 minutes. The lines moved very quickly, and there was someone there to direct you every step of the way. We were on the ship and found our cabin (11186) very quickly, where our luggage was already waiting!! How do they do that? Read more
