Spent night at Sheraton Miami Airport, hotel was just ok, $200.check other hotels. We got to cruise port & on the ship very quickly. Got to our balcony stateroom, #8065. Waited about 1 hr for luggage. Room was 221+/- sq ft and as on all ships bathroom small. Plenty of room for storage and clothes. Suitcases fit under the bed. Our room stewardess, Sharon, was very nice and quick to make up our room day & night. Tipped her everyday $3.00. She made towel animals every night.
We ate at dining rooms, buffet, food was good, and LeBistro (twice), Brazillian Grill, Teppanyaki. All worth the up-charges.
We enjoyed the pool deck, outdoor cooking, and entertainment. Saw the comedy show, hypnotist, both were good.
1st port: Cartagena, Colombia. We chose the Chiva Party Bus & had a blast.
2nd Aruba: De Palm Island Snorkel, which was the best snorkling, food good, property nice. Kids were all at the water slides. Loved the banaboat ride (free), except the Capt of the boat broke by $750.00 glasses, so get someone to hold yours for you.
3rd Curacao: Took the discover curacao excursion: First stop was full of history, and unfortunately vendors trying to sell you junk from China, very annoying, but just say NO, Hato Caves were interesting, but very steep stairs to climb, and hot in the caves.
4th port was St. Maarten: got off early & did some shopping then took the Afternoon Beach Bash DON'T TAKE this excursion. It was wall to wall beach lounge chairs 6 rows deep to the water. Waves to big to swim, & you had to walk a ways to the "reserved chairs" and "free" watered down rum punch. Snack bar there for $60.00, 1 burger-fries, 2 chicken wraps & fries, no drinks. Way to expensive.
5th St Thomas: Took the St John Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel: Sail Boat ride was wonderful, snorkeling just OK. Staff was very friendly. All in all had a great time! Looking forward to 2014 Panama Canal cruise with NCL.
