Ship Facts: Celebrity Solstice Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Solstice Deck Plans
Celebrity Solstice Auckland to Perth 28 January, 2013
THE GOOD: Beautiful pool deck, great food and service, shows, the celebration put on for the Superbowl was outstanding, Les de Merle lectures.

THE BAD: Slow dinner service, daytime entertainment

THE UGLY: Endless queues for boarding and unboarding

Adelaide, logistical wharf problems for getting off, ship 4 hours late and blamed on "rough weather" - not really rough, probably bad planning. Check the distance!

However an hours wait to reboard caused totally by only having two scanners in action and not by the gangway as the ship claimed.

Esperance:

2 hours wait to reboard, sea really choppy but not the cause of the holdup.

Only one place for the tender to tie up on the land side. Not functional for a ship this size.

Albany:

A very short stop to allow time to get to Perth. Not adequate for passengers who have travelled the world to see these ports. The Cruise Director even suggested staying on board as the stop was so short.

THE SERIOUSLY WEIRD:

So dark in the dining room that many took torches to read the menu

The entertainment groups stood in the central atrium in the dark, no lighting on them at all.

Having a crew member with a carpet sweeper, sweeping every night around the bars, central atrium, halls outside the dining room non stop.
