Our first cruise took some careful planning using the internet ( no thanks to Imagine Cruising who were hopeless ) we siled from Port Everglade in Fort Lauderdale on the Noordam. Boarding was easy and luggage arrived at our cabin very quickly. Our cabin stewards Heru 1 and Heru 2 were truely excellent .
Cabin 6171 had reasonable amount of space but shower only no bath . It was comfortable with a nice balcony to sit out on and enjoy a glass of vino.
Food & sevice in the pinacle grill is splendid, staff including the guys from Turkey are first class. We ate here 4 nights and enjoyed the menu selections.
Vista Dining room any time dining saw us eat at table for two, or with a group
on some evenings , again good service and very polite staff .Lido we ate in this resturant mainly light breakfast and light lunch, excellent selection of food, clean , good service.
Pools of the two we preffered the aft pool, also the jacussi . Live music at times and bar service was really on the ball especially Boosy and Len .
These guys also worked in the Ocean bar in the venings and are a credit to HAL
as they were great.
Lots of shore trips, by golf cart, taxis and bus also a submarine trip which was a blast , you really should try this.
Weather perfect and you get to meet a lot of very nice people .
We can recomend the Noordam, as its first priority is to look after the passengers, from Captain Scott and throughout the crew who make this ship function brilliantly.
We now plan a longer cruise next year perhaps Far East/Australia with HAL.
