Sail Date: Feb 2013

My wife and I sailed on the MSC POESIA around the Caribbean for 2 weeks starting 02/02/2013 for my 70th Birthday treat. I have tried to be honest and fair with my comments to help other travelers in forming their own opinions as to which Cruise to take......MSC POESIA, Well where do you start?

Firstly MSC do not cater for the UK market. All Entertainment, and food, are only catered for the European market. ie.. The Entertainment on board is very, very boring and consists of Ballet, Opera, Classical Music, Constant Greek, Italian, Spanish music. The same performers and songs night after night, No Comedians, new act's, or look a like acts, just Boring. Night after night they close different public Lounges because of private parties for other guest's and to witch you are not invited. Most entertainment takes place on the top deck, where it is near impossible to get a deck chair or seat for the love of money, and the searing heat beats down relentless, as 3000 people all try to fit on one deck, think about it?. Meanwhile in all the other bars and lounges on the ship a handful of people sit staring at each other in boredom, with no entertainment what so ever. Food is very rich and greasy and the menu is very poor, and repeated most alternative nights. All drinks are very expensive, especially the shorts. The only good thing's I can say about MSC POESIA is that it a good looking ship and the crew are Excellent.
