I read this headline on CNN after we returned from our ordeal and could not help but laugh. The plethora of drama queens and kings is astounding. Folks looking for their 15 seconds of fame, I guess... Was it bad? Yes. As bad as depicted on television? In some cases, yes. But in a lot of cases no. It doesn't really take a lot for a cruise ship with 4000 people on board to deteriorate without power. While total power was out briefly, partial power was restored rather quickly. Running water was restored after about 6 hours and some of the public restroom were restored after about 8 hours. The toilet in our stateroom did not work until late Thursday morning. Some stated that we were running out of food which was an outright lie. Those may be the same folks who were piling food up like it was their last meal only to waste it minutes later. Food was plentiful although you did have to wait in a long line and it may have not been the type of food that you would have preferred. There was indeed steak and lobster on the final day, but this was because of a supplies delivery on that same day. The entire crew was, in a word, OUTSTANDING throughout the entire trip. So a "Cruise from Hell"? Hardly. It could have been MUCH worse. At best is was uncomfortable, stressful, and inconvenient...

Cabin review:

Opens into the elevator lobby, so a bit noisy. Decor a bit dated (mostly due to color scheme).

Port and Shore Excursions

Nachi Cocom Beach Club
Highly recommend Nachi Cocom! They limit their reservations to 100 visitors at a time and the waitstaff, food, and drinks were outstanding. Beautiful area.
