EMBARKATION: Our flight arrived at 10:30 am. We had our bags checked at the ship by 11:30. Check in was a breeze, there was no one in the Aquaclass line. Since it was still early, we had to wait in a small waiting area designated for Aquaclass and above. We boarded the ship approx. 12:00.
CABINS: We had an Aquaclass stateroom. Our bed was close to the veranda. For some reason the cabin around the veranda door creaked. It only added to the ambiance. We also noticed some vibration. The embarkation champagne, the daily canapes, the 2 bottles of water daily were a nice touch. Storage space was at a premium on a 14 day cruise. We probably both over packed. There is not enough drawer space in the living and sleep are of the cabin. The bathroom has an over capacity of storage space.
DINING: I am a buffet type guy. I like variety. The oceanview cafe did not get boring even after 14 days. The made to order omelet stations are efficient and better run than any More
other ship we have sailed on. We ate at the Blu 4-5 nights. A very nice experience.
ENTERTAINMENT: The ship wide music was mostly 70's, 80's 90's disco, funk, rock, soul. Sometimes the music was from the original artist. More often than not familiar songs were produced in an easy listening waiting in the lobby type version. There is never enough up beat island music. Another good thing, there was no rap. The shows were extremely euro-centric. We found ourselves in our cabin with the do not disturb sign on our door by 9:00. Mostly because I was up at 6:00 every morning looking to catch the sun rise.
SERVICE: Osman our cabin steward was top notch. Less
