This was our third cruise with RC and our first on Freedom of the Seas. We had a wonderful time - the ship, the staff, the food - all were wonderful. Embarkation was very smooth, we were on the ship in less than an hour and our bags were at our room by 1:30 p.m. We had really excellent wait staff in the dining room, Jasper and Liz, they were the best wait staff we have had on a cruise. We did not try the specialty restaurants on this cruise, but tried the dining room for lunch on sea days and loved the wonderful salad bar. This time we went to more shows that on past cruises and we enjoyed "Now You See It" and the Temptations cover band Tribute very much. Of course, the ice show is always excellent.
We enjoyed watching the activity on the Flow Rider, but weren't brave enough to try it, although DH did try the rock climbing wall. We really enjoyed the Solarium and the hot tubs over the ocean, a wonderful spot to relax and watch the scenery.
Labadee was our favourite stop, More DH loved the zipline and I enjoyed my time at Columbus Cove, a beautiful spot. In Falmouth we did not leave the port. The port area was very nice and clean and had good music playing (we were there on Bob Marley's birthday). We spent the rest of that day enjoying the ship's facilities. Fellow cruisers who took a tour of Falmouth did not have anything good to say about the town. In Grand Cayman we took a ship's tour to Tiki Beach, it was a nice, relaxing trip, and no worries about getting back to the tender boat on time. In Cozumel we hired Driver for a Day and Miguel, our driver, was very knowledgeable and gave us a scenic and informative tour of the island, stopping for a visit to the San Gervasio Ruins and a nice beach bar on the way back to the ship. Would recommend Driver for a Day as a very good service.
We have no negatives to report, and booked a future cruise certificate while on the ship. We are looking forward to planning our next RC cruise. Less
