Feb 3-10 Norwegian Dawn 7 night cruise Ported in Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel
Itinerary:
4 ports overall. Roatan wasn't great, Belize was okay, Costa Maya and Cozumel most enjoyable.
Cleanliness:
Ship was always immaculate. Room was always clean. Staff were always helpful. Had a dirty wineglass with old lipstick one night... otherwise no issues.
Food:
Common food areas were better than Carnival, and about same as Royal Caribbean. 24 hour hour restaurant was great for when you want to eat outside of regular hours, but don't want hassle of room service.
*** This ship offers 6 different restaurants (with an extra charge) that are WAY BETTER than the regular evening dining areas. Bottom line, I would cruise again on this boat just for these restaurants... the menu selections, food quality and staffers are just that good!
Atmosphere:
Average age of this ship was 57, and it felt a lot older than that...Lots of seniors. We're OK with it though, because we don't care for the crazy party atmospheres of drunk people stumbling everywhere and falling off the boat... it just made us feel a little out of place. Outside pool area would empty by 10:00pm, and we NEVER had to fight for a sun chair once during entire cruise. No lineups for food ever. Overall quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
