This was our second time on a cruise, first time with Celebrity and we loved every minute of it. From the day we booked our cruise to our disembarkation, everything went so smoothly and we really got our time to relax and enjoy the different ports of call.
We flew to Fort Lauderdale and headed straight for the port by taxi. The check-in process was really fast and we were greeted on board with mimosas and champagne. The ship itself is beautiful, the architecture, smart use of space, and the attention detail was amazing.
Our steward was amazing. Our cabin was so clean, we had turn down service twice a day. When i asked anything i.e extra towels, we got it immediately.
The food and service in the buffet and main dining rooms were great. Portions were surprisingly small for some courses in the Grand Cuvee (main dining room) but still filling and we never walked out of dinner unsatisfied. The buffet always had something for everyone, and the burgers at the grill were delicious.
The entertainment on board was ok, some nights we really enjoyed the shows, other nights were a bore (but I think this was more to cater to different ages on board). We're a younger couple and were definitely outnumbered by older couples and retirees (this didn't bother us at all, but just an observation to their choice of entertainment schedules). Still, you never run out of things to do or see.
The Lawn Club is really cool, but to rent out your own private seating area is way too expensive ($149/day on a sea day). We just stuck with the lounge chairs on the sundeck and did just fine. They even came around with cold towels, sorbet, and water.
We felt the service and overall crew on board were fantastic. We were always greeted with a smile, and anything we asked, needed, crew members were more than happy to help us.
We will definitely cruise with Celebrity again and recommend the Silhouette.
