We are a married couple in our early sixties. We don't usually cruise for travel (took one cruis on NCL 26 years ago) as we normally want to see many places, but really needed a relaxing break from work and in a warm spot. Wanted interesting ports and good food and no "mega ships". Wanted to avoid teenagers and rowdy party types so narrowed our choice to either Celebrity or RCL.
We were on the 1/26/13 sailing of the Celebrity Summit out of San Juan. I like that we had only one sea day which was the first day out. Visited Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and loved them all.
While we are not experienced cruisers we were both extremely happy with our experience on the Celebrity Summit. I can't say enough about out well organized they are, the great food, service and choices in the main dining room and in the Ocean View Cafe/Buffet as well as poolside.
Cabin 2044 - very comfortable. Loved the king size bed.
