Liberty of the Seas Cruise Review by cherwil2000: 5 relaxing nights on Liberty

5 relaxing nights on Liberty
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Its important to arrive early (before twelve) to avoid lines. We arrived at 1:00pm and were on board at 2:00 pm. There were lines even for members with priority boarding so make sure you arrive early.
The ship was as beautiful as I remembered her and very clean and well maintained. We were upgraded to an ocean-view witch was very nice. Room is still small but with lots of storage.
Food was good. We only had breakfast in the windjammer. Breakfast was the same everyday but there were lots of choices and fresh fruit everyday so you can decide what you want to eat everyday.
We had all our lunches in the windjammer. Lunch was typical buffet fair. There were two different
pastas everyday and they were good. Don't care for the pizza. Deserts were delicious. On sea days they have an afternoon tea from 4:00 to 5:00 witch was very nice.
We had dinner three times in the main dining room. Service was excellent. Chilled soups were delicious. We went everyday More for Sushi at the windjammer before dinner. Sushi is served everyday at 6:30 pm and was very good. Overall dinner selection in the windjammer was very good and every meal we ate there was delicious.
I don't understand why people complain so much about food. As long as i don't have to cook its ok. There are so many choices to choose from so everyone must fine something that they like. You have to walk all the way aft to see everything they got.
There are two specialty restaurants. We haven't go there this time because we were very happy with the food that is for free.
The food definitely is not 5 star. But if that's what you want then you have to go to celebrity ships or other upscale ships and pay twice the price of the Liberty.
Shows were very good to excellent. I think Royal Caribbean has some of the best shows at sea.
Overall we had a great cruise. Have cruised on Carnival, Norwegian and Celebrity but Royal Caribbean is still my favorite cruise line. Less
