My husband, myself and our 14 year old daughter were a bit hesitant going on this cruise as we were told by many that it was for the more mature traveller (over 60), but we turned our smile upside down and decided to make the most of it. Basically, we had a ball. Our daughter was glued to our side for the first 48 hours but then met some lovely teens (14-18) and basically we didn't see her after that. She met others from around the world and given her personality, made some great friends.Yes, the demographic on the boat was that of an older genre but in general, we didn't go on the holiday to meet people, it was about us spending quality time together as a family as we work long hours and needed family time. The room was fantastic and Benjamin who looked after us, always had a smile and he couldn't do enough for us. He treated us all with respect as we did with him. All staff went out of their way to make our time on board very enjoyable so there were no complaint in this regard. The food was plentiful and very tasty. Again, no complaints. The shore tours that we booked were fun although expensive. At other ports, we just hired our own car and "went for a drive". The teen club was not used very much by our daughter - the group of friends she made just hung out around the pool, at the ping pong table or dinner table and generally just did their own thing. The entertainment for our age (late 40s) was very mediocre. We found that after doing shore tours all day, the last thing we wanted to do was get back on the ship, dress, have a formal evening and then party. The only negative in this respect was that everything on the ship started so late (11.00pm). The only one night that I was looking forward to going out was an Abba night in one of the nightclubs but I was too tired so didn't go.I also found that the majority of the night entertainment as mentioned above, only went for a couple of hours at the most. So by the time you were just "getting into it", the evening came to an end. Probably good though - didn't wake up with a headache at all!!!!The main issue we had on this cruise was the arrogance of the passengers onboard. Yes, it is only a few that make a name for the majority but the mannerisms that we witnessed and the way that some of the staff were spoken to, was just disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself.!!!The formal nights we also felt were too over the top. When holidaying, we didn't want to be dictated to in what we could or could not wear so found this a little intimidating. Would definitely do this cruise again - highly recommended.

Cabin Review

Cabin AB

Lovely cabin, very clean and tidy. The only negative is that you could feel the engine vibration in the bed which took a little getting used to.
