Went with friends who aren't as picky for a get-away and could not find much right about this cruise.
Jacksonville port is easy to get to and for us only a three hour drive. Boarding was easy and the cabin acceptable.
Meals turned our to be the first challenge. Could never find anything we wanted to eat; had to settle for what was tolerable (both Sensations dining room and Lido). No taste to any of the food and they only seemed to be able to cook beef well.
Terrible bands throughout. My husband and friends liked singer Tom Green(though I didn't). Bands played throughout the shop so you went from one thomping noise to another.
We were below the theater and all afternoon the thumping of practice and then all evening for the performances.
Drunks abounded and though I am no prude, some of the antics (by those in their 40's-50's)were beyond acceptable, expecially with children on board.
Will never do another Carnival cruise again. This is what we were afraid of and the line lived up to expectations.
