Left out of POM at 8pm instead of 4pm...quite a delay. We were having so much fun in port that we barely noticed it. Always things to do on the ship. Many hot tubs for relaxation as well as Serenity area. BIG SCREEN on Lido deck for entertainment day and night. Very friendly staff.
Grand Turk has a wonderful beach. Curacao was very colorful and had the floating bridge experience. Aruba had helmet diving. We didnt get to see Dominican Republic. However, Health and Safety of passengers is the #1 priority of Carnival. We experienced that in a life/death situation en route to Dominican Republic. We had to turn the ship around to airlift a passenger to get medical treatment. Hopefully that all ended well. As we missed that opportunity to dock in DR, instead we had a FULL day in Curacao.
All good times on the ship...food is awesome...kudos to all kitchen staff. At bfast burritos at the Blue Iguana Cantina everyday...they were so delicious. You could only get Jimmys BBQ on C-days hence the VERY LONG lines. We recommend either getting there at the VERY beginning or waiting til it's almost time to close so you dont have to stand in the hot sun in a long line to get a dish of food. Waterworks was so refreshing. Give yourself a BIG push if you go down the slides. I just about slowed down in both of them cuz I didnt push off the right way. The pizza place line was long too. Yes, they make all the pizzas to order, but listening to people in line...you know your most popular pizzas so just keep making them. We just want to grab and go. The Tandor was open late night and had really good hot dogs and cookies. The deli made paninis to order and they were pretty fast. Guys Burger joint was interesting...not your average burger, but oh so tasty. You got to put your own toppings on them. They dont put too many french fries on your plate, but will give you more if you ask them.
Parties on the Lido deck sponsored by the Blue Iguana and Red Rum Bar were fun but only lasted about a half hour which seemed to short. Pictures all turned out great. Oh and the Piano Bar was fabulous! Spent many nights with Ron Pass, the Piano Guy...laughing and singing and have so much fun. Liquid NightClub was just okay for us. Balcony room view was good too. A little different than on past ships...it overlooks the Lanai Deck so you can see people in the hottubs and in line for Jimmys BBQ. We usually just see the sea. Overall a good time. Not so sure we'd sail on the Breeze again. It was VERY KID oriented.
