We are a group of 8 friends traveling down from Charleston, SC. Drove down the day before sailing and stayed at the County Inn and Suites with the cruise and drive package. Had a good breakfast and they shuttled us to the ship - and picked us up afterwards.
We had done our online check-in so we breezed through the boarding process. The cabins were ready when we got aboard and we checked into our cove balcony cabin. It was wonderful being so close to the water. We kept our door open most nights to listen to the waves. The service on the ship was great. The Dream is lovely and well maintained. The cabin was roomy, with lots of storage space and the bathroom was the biggest I've had on a cruise.
We only saw our room steward once or twice, but he always had our room in good order. The dining room staff were also very good and the food was hot and delicious. None of us had anything that wasn't great. Breakfast in the dining room had slower service, but we weren't in a big hurry so it didn't matter to us.
The only show we went to was Dancing in the Street was very good. We went to a couple of adult comedy shows and they were good too.
We spent a lot of time in the Ocean Plaza and enjoyed the Lanai when the weather permitted. The martini tasting was fun - the bartender pours all four varieties of martinis at one time.
