We thought we would give Carnival another try and were disappointed for the last time. We usually cruise with Royal Caribbean and thought we would give Carnival another try since RCL didn't go to the ports we wanted to go to in January. The Food was unsatisfactory at the buffet and in the dining room. Our room Steward- Jerry was great! The 3 servers we had in the Lincoln dining at the 8:15pm seating were all horrible. My daughter asked for Ice tea the first night and the waiter acted like he had been insulted. She finally got a glass but it was never refilled. We asked for coffee and 3 out of the 7 nights they never brought any to us. Each night we got one glass of water and they never came back to re-fill those either. The head server came to our table the first night and we never saw him again. My daughter and I got horribly sick the last night after eating dinner, we thought it could have been from the food since it happened 20 minutes after eating. The breakfast was good at the buffet because of the omelet bar. There was a worker that handed out no more than 2 slices of bacon to you. The lunch was ok, the only thing that was really good that they had everyday was the chicken fingers. The pizza was HORRIBLE and every time you went to get a piece they would always tell you it was going to be 5 minutes.
We were suppose to go to Grand Turk on Friday the 25th but the seas were a little choppy and the Captain decided not to dock the ship. We were very disappointed and it made it worse when we went to the gift shop and one of the workers told us the Captain always does this and that on other ships they have docked in worse weather at Grand Turk.
On a good note, the Ships cruise director Felipe did a great job. The shows, especially with the dancers were great!
We stayed in cabin 8289. It was a good room, great room steward. The only thing is you could hear every one in the hall and in the room next to you.
