Brilliance of the Seas has proven herself to be a fun filled ship with great service, food and accommodations. Food was excellent in the dining rooms, but surprisingly just as good in Windjammer Cafe (popular for breakfast) and Seaview Cafe (burgers, chicken, shakes, etc). There are also two alternative dining restaurants that require reservations once on board. Latte-tudes is a coffee bar, a great place (with an extra cost) where one can grab a coffee and a pastry to go.
An obvious highlight of the Brilliance are the wide glass windows, which the Radiance Class ships of Royal Caribbean are known for, that enables all passengers to get an awesome view of the scenery whether it was ocean or the port of call. Another feature that was unforgettable were the 3 sets of glass elevators in the atrium, one pair in the middle, one pair on the right and one pair on the left. The ones on the left and right hang over the ocean, so riding the elevator can be just as fun as anything else. The wide hallways and corridors made pedestrian traffic a breeze. In the aft near the main pool, the miniature golf area, and the rock wall lies a basketball/soccer court. On European cruises soccer overtakes basketball and games are played quite frequently between youngsters of all nationalities. A fun water slide for the children also is in this area.
As for the lounges... they were very comfortable and spacious -- a great place to read, listen to music or talk with friends about the exciting day. Royal Caribbean's signature lounge, the Viking Crown Lounge, is perched above the ship and is converted into a nightclub after dark.
