Ship Facts: Adventure of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Adventure of the Seas Deck Plans
Adventure of the Seas 1/2/11
I realize I am 2 years late reviewing this cruise, but I wanted to make sure I did :)

We flew into San Juan and stayed at the Sheraton hotel that is across the bay from San Juan. (We are SPG members, and select hotels based on point redemption! It was the cheapest points to use so we selected it knowing we could taxi to the port the next day easily.)

We took a taxi over to the port early, before noon and embarkation was quick and pleasant.

On board we had to wait a while for rooms, but it wasn't a terrible wait. One of our bags was detained and we had to go looking for it. It had a case of water in it, but they returned it to us without any trouble.

We stayed pretty active on this cruise in the ports, so on the ship we were more tired! We didn't participate in many night activities except the Love and Marriage game show. As usual, the Sky Bar was our favorite, but the Connoisseur Club was also great as usual.

The food was great, the service was great and overall we enjoyed this cruise. We did miss some of the things that is lacking from having sailed on Freedom already.

The cruise director was not as personable as the other cruise we went on, but she isn't with RCI anymore so that isn't an issue anymore!

This cruise ship is older and doesn't have quite as much as the larger ships - but we enjoyed it very much for our relaxing, and somewhat reclusive time on board!

The fact that this cruise left from San Juan was wonderful, and let us experience the beautiful Puerto Rico! We stayed several days after and it is one of our favorite places.
