One can only say this was an awesome cruise! The Ship (recently refitted Viking Rurik), Cabin, Food, and Staff were outstanding. We had a Jr. Suite and many rooms had verandas.

We departed from Moscow visiting Uglich, Yaroslavl, Kuzino, Kizhi, Mandrogy, and St. Petersburg. The ship had an elevator and free WiFi for the people that just can't get away from work (like myself). The WiFi worked throughout the Cruise. The Cabin was incredible, comfortable, quiet and well furnished. Not only was the bed comfortable, but you could store (and easily access) lots of luggage underneath it, leaving plenty of floor space. The food was outstanding and plentiful with a wide variety for all types of preferences or dietary needs. There were state of the art coffee, tea, cappuccino, etc self service machines available 24/7 & two bar/lounges with panoramic views. The wait staff was a mix of Russian, European and Philippino personnel, who were all friendly, pleasant, informative and spoke English. The cruise is focused on English speaking passengers throughout. The onboard guides were excellent. They teamed with local guides at each port-of-call as needed for expertise and were able to translate when necessary.

Cabin Review

The cabins in the recently refitted Rurik were outstanding. Well appointed, comfortable, and quite. The Jr. Suite at the bow of the boat is the best pick with a forward and side looking windows and veranda.
