Ship Facts: Carnival Miracle Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Miracle Deck Plans
Fun time on Carnival Mircle
We are in our sixties and have cruised many times on various cruise lines. We chose Carnival for the convenience of sailing out of NY. We took metro north train from Ct. to Grand Central and then a taxi to the ship. We arrived at the port around noon and it took about half an hour before we were on board.

Cabin- We booked an ocean view room as we didn't think we would use the balcony much since we were cruising in January and we liked the price. We were somewhat concerned as the cabin was on Deck 1 and we had never been on a lower deck. It turned out great. The 2 decks above us had dinning, bars, casino etc. It also was convenient and very stable. The room was spacious and the cabin steward was excellent, always having our room made up early.

Food-We did any time dining and never had to wait long for a table. The food in the main dining room was good and excellent in the steak house. The choices were varied, some better than others but that could just been personal taste. Service was excellent. Negative -The dining room was over the top and the ugliest we have ever seen.

Buffet- It was a typical buffet but we found the food was mostly cold. At breakfast, the best was the omelets, made to order. Also, at omelet station you can ask for fried eggs which were hot and good. At lunch, the deli sandwiches and pizza were very good. The hamburgers were always cold (cooked ahead of time) but hot dogs and nachos were good. We liked the food at the brunch but it was odd having comedian perform for 2 minutes.

The steak house was great. If you go on the first night, you get a free bottle of wine. The food and service was excellent, well worth the $35. We really liked the ambiance and went to this bar for our cocktail before dinner as it was quiet and elegant.

Activities- There was a wide variety and choice. Entertainment was okay. We loved the adult's only pool area and section. We had no problem getting a lounge but we went at odd times.

Ports- Cape Canaveral - we did a ship tour to Disney's Magic Kingdom. It was about an hour drive to Orlando and we had about 7 hours at the park.

Nassau -- we took a cab to Atlantis and did some shopping in town

Freeport-just enjoyed the warm weather

We really like Carnival because you have all ages and lots of families. We met some great people and really enjoyed this cruise.
