Thomson Celebration Cruise Review by jkjkjk: Excellent Cruise
Overall Member Rating
Destination: Middle East
Airport:Helpful thomson staff at check in, very quick.
Flight:The most cramped seats I have ever sat in. A little better on the way back with a newer aircraft. No entertainment on a 5 hour flight.
Sharm airport: Bit of a long wait to get out but not to bad.
Transfer and embarkation:Very smooth, about half an hour to the port, and within 10 minutes we on the ship.
Cabins: There were 8 of us in our party. We all had refurbished cabins, very nice and modern with plenty of storage. Only saw the steward a couple of times, but that was no problem as every time we left the cabin it was cleaned and tidied. Gave him a nice tip.
Staff: Fantastic each and every one.
Food: Even though the food in the main restaurant wasn't quite as good as previous cruises. No steak or lobster,no complaints as it was half the price.
Buffet very good, there was 24 hour food. Hygiene was very strict, hand wash every time you entered the restaurants. More
Entertainment: The ship band was the best I've heard on any cruise. I don't think they repeated a song. From the Beatles to Gun's and Roses. From 50's rock and roll to Indie.Could not fault them. All the other shows that we saw we enjoyed. The entertainment team work so hard.
Drink: Although we were on AI, with was great value, the bar prices are very reasonable.
Ship: Has had a refurb and is in very good shape, there is a vibration at times, but it didn't bother any of our party.
All in all, very impressed. Less
