I have cruised many times with various cruise lines including Princess Cruises. My roommate was a first time cruiser.She had never visited Hawaii before.
There were many smiles and welcoming handshakes and after that, all was downhill. The "buck" never stopped anywhere.We were nickelled and dimed to death in the Piazza when you had food at the International cafe, then went to get coffee next to it, you were charged!
We were sold a wine package under false pretenses. Many times other people's wines were "misplaced" and never recovered.
The stops in Hawaii were way too short, except for Oahu, which we enjoyed very much.
The musicians were wonderful! The cruise director avoided personal meetings. There was no news from the world in the Daily newsletter including the current Football and soccer playoffs either.
Well so much for "cheap" cruising. Take a better company and you'll get everything you pay for and more. It'll cost less in the long run.
