Our Favorite Things: Aqua Duck: Amazing, fun water ride gives a wonderful overall view of the ocean and the ship while rafting through the see through tubes
Concierge Level: Three phenomenal crew members, PJ, Kemisha and Alice always had the answers to our questions and performed miracles when necessary
Port Excursion to Bacardi Rum Factory: After discovering our handicapped member would miss the excursion because of incorrect information from shore side, the Concierge team arranged appropriate transportation to the Factory by Rico Sun Tours with Javier Elias as our amazing driver. He even escorted us to our chosen restaurant in downtown San Juan, the Parrot Club, where the owners of the Club actually made a ramp for the motorized scooter while we waited. Everyone involved worked miracles for us that day. (At the Parrot Club have the guava flan; it is to die for).
Palo Restaurant: Our evening meal at Palo's was wonderful, but our brunch was outrageously More good. Each person orders his/her entree (Oysters Rockefeller, Eggs Benedict, Mahi Mahi, Pizza and on and on then while waiting, you serve yourself from dozens of mouth watering items such as pastries, crab legs and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. AND a dessert table.
Split bathroom arrangement: One room has the toilet and a sink while the other has a sink and small round tub with a hand held shower AND an overhead rain shower. Best ever on a cruise ship.
Dining Rotation: We enjoyed all three restaurants, but our favorite was the second night in Animator's Palate. We each received a paper placemat on which we drew a figure. These were collected and given to animators who did an absolutely amazing show on the dining room screens. Our figures danced in a chorus line then with Mickey, right in front of us. Our servers were Edward from England and Hanti from South Africa; like leaving family when we left the ship.
Ship: By far the cleanest ship ever, especially thanks to our room steward, Rannie and his assistant Sam. Mickey 24/7 is not my cup of tea, but the Fantasy is subtle Mickey all the way. Beautifully done. Much of the wall art comes to life when you step on the round metal plate on the floor a few feet in front of the picture; adults as well as the children were fascinated. Also one day we mentioned a squeak in the ceiling and two carpenters and their manager were there within the hour to fix it.
This is one beautiful ship populated with amazing crew members serving delicious food, but we will probably choose a cruise line that caters to a more mature population next time. That being said, because of Disney's ability to do most everything to perfection from embarkation to disembarkation, a Disney cruise should be on every family's Family Bucket List. Less

Cabin review: Disney Fantasy 11022
11022 Disney FantasyWonderful room with small balcony. Part of balcony can be seen by everyone in the hot tub, so privacy is limited. We were afraid there would be noise because it is the end room and adjoins a public area and is across from the room steward's storeroom. In fact it was very quiet because it was on a short hallway away from the majority of the rooms and we never heard the activity of the stewards. Children next door liked to play with the door handle (adjoining rooms), but this was minor.
Port and Shore Excursions
Disney's private island is an outdoor paradise complete with included as well as booked excursions. The ship docks right at the island's edge so you can walk the entire island or ride the tram from place to place. Even in mid-January with a hazy day it was a wonderful stop.
We love everything about San Juan. We took an excursion to the Bacardi Rum Factory enjoying a lovely half hour ride to the factory. Later we enjoyed downtown San Juan because our ship docked a few minutes walk from the fort, Christopher Columbus square and the shops and restaurants. A meal at the Parrot Club let us taste black bean croquettes, shrimp and crab with rice, black beans and rice as well as a marvelous guava flan. Beautiful day in Puerto Rico.
Because this was our fifth time in St. Thomas we decided to skip the shore excursions and just shop. We took the $4. taxi to downtown to shop for linens (Mr. Tablecloth), Disney T-shirts (Del Sol) and amazing bamboo/cotton clothing (Cariloha). $4. taxi ride back to the ship was easy. In the afternoon we walked the short distance to Havensight Mall (where we had docked) for a bit more shopping.
