Obviously, all the reviews here are subjective. Our opinions here are our own and, in some cases, disagree significantly with others reviewers. That doesn't make any of us right or wrong, but taken together readers can get a good idea of what to expect. For us, this was one of the best of our 14 cruises.

Embarkation - another good job by Celebrity. It took 20-30 minutes for us to check in and get to our cabin. Upon entering the ship we were given flutes of champagne.

Stateroom - we had a concierge balcony cabin (2149) on deck 12. It was a typical cabin with enough storage for us. The bathroom appeared to be a bit larger than others we have had. The shower had curved glass doors with good water pressure and hot water. The sink was a bowl type and was too high for my wife. Because of the shape of the ship, the balcony was oversized.

Service - this is where the Equinox stands head and shoulders above other ships we have experienced. Smiles and laughter More were everywhere. The customer relations people exceeded all expectations. In particular we would like to commend Princess Mpulo. We had a significant problem and she worked for many hours until it was resolved. When we were about to give up she told us, "I hate to fail you." And she didn't.

Dining - the main dining room was beautifully decorated and took up two decks. The food was good to excellent. Our only complaint would be that there were too few choices. Several times either my wife or I had to "settle" on something to eat. However, as I mentioned in the paragraph above this one, the service was flawless. Our waitress, Yvonne, and her assistant waiter, Jerry, made each dinner a pleasure.

Specialty dining - we only ate at one of the specialty restaurants, the Tuscan Grill. It was a terrific experience with food as good as any we have had on shore.

Entertainment - the singers and dancers were incredibly talented people. While production shows are pretty much the same from ship to ship, these performers added something to each show. In addition, Celebrity brought us a pianist, a violinist and a vocalist in the theater. They were all amazing. Only one of the performers disappointed - the comedic magician. Three musical acts that performed around the ship were also great....the party band, the a capella group and the solo guitarist.

Pool area - we never had a problem finding a seat or lounge.

All in all, the Equinox and its staff provide a memorable experience. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Equinox Concierge Class Panorama Deck (9) 2149

Concierge balcony cabin 2149 This cabin has an oversized balcony/ However, it is located below the buffet restaurant and the sound of moving furniture can be heard very early in the morning and periodically throughout the day.
