Enjoyable Cruise: Caribbean Princess Cruise Review by Kdrama Cruiser

Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
The ship is in good condition overall but I was taken by how dark many of the public areas were with the wood paneling and dark colors. Very reminiscent of New York chop restaurants and bars. The gym is state of the art and fairly roomy. The stateroom (Interior) was beginning to show wear, the mattresses in particular could use replacing. The space its self was compact but efficiently appointed as was the bathroom and closet/dressing area.
The staff from top to bottom was amazing, this is the More hardest working group I've ever had the pleasure of coming across. The service was above and beyond, there is nothing they will not do, create or invent to make your stay more pleasurable. Anything negative; rough seas, mediocre meal, late arrival in port can all be forgiven when this staff is brought to mind.
The food was good, interestingly enough we found the buffet at the Horizon Court and Caribe Cafe tastier than that which was served in the dining room. Princess does an outstanding job with desserts; the Princess Love Cake, their fresh sorbet which changed daily to other delights are well worth the extra calories or taking the stairs. The pizza, as everyone has already said, is outstanding and the Trident grill is terrific, nothing like a fresh hamburger or bratwurst to tied you over until dinner. And don't forget those amazing chocolate croissants at the International Cafe, WOW!
Entertainment was terrific; Dan Styne the cruise director and his staff work tirelessly to entertain us and they do a great job. We had the pleasure of a comedian "SARGE", illusionist "HAWLEY MAGIC" and "THE UNEXPECTED BOYS" all of which were terrific. The Princess signers and dancers also put their best foot forward and we enjoyed their themed performances. The cruise directors staff however was the most fun and entertaining from hosting bingo to teaching line dancing, salsa and making us move our buns in Zumba class. There was always something to do... The enrichment class/seminars were interesting, I personally would like to have seen more. Wine tastings were made available for a small fee and were well worth it, the Sommelier was very informative and knowledgeable.
The ports were okay, but the ship and experience on it is what made the trip for us even with rough seas. Princess Cays is lovely, the FOC BBQ tasty and if you like hanging out at the beach this port is for you. Got my prettiest pictures here. Curacao I was most interested in seeing for it's architecture and history, it did not disappoint and was easy to navigate on our own. Aruba was hot, sunny, pretty and had lots of shopping.
Princess does a good job of pampering you, we truly "escaped"... Less
Cabin review: IR724
Sleeps 4; 2 twins with 2 wall mounted bunks, made it difficult when turned into a queen. One had to duck and stoop when trying to get into bed and good luck not bumping your head at least once coming up out of bed in the dark. Drawers kept opening and closing on their own in rough seas, was a little noisy. Bathroom efficient, shower small but adequate, water doesn't drain as quickly as it should. Needed more hangers. Room in good condition overall.
