Ship Facts: Carnival Breeze Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Breeze Deck Plans
Great cruise overall. . .poor entertainment!
This was our 66th cruise on various lines, so my husband and I are veteran cruisers! I was

surprised by some of the very negative reviews for this brand new ship. Well, here is my review:

Overall, we had a very positive cruise. I will start with all the things we liked. The ship itself is

new and very very clean. Also, all the staff were extremely friendly and personable. Check in was

simple and within about 15 minutes we were on the ship having lunch on Deck 10. Our cabin

was ready at 1:30pm and it was wonderful, just as we imagined. We had an aft balcony cabin

with a great view of the water while sailing. Our cabin steward (Osbel) was very friendly and

took very good care of us, we never had to ask for anything!

The food choices for breakfast and lunch were unbelievable. We are not breakfast diners but we

do enjoy lunch. . .so many options. On Deck 10 there is:

*24 hour pizza. . .delicious and homemade

*Cucina del Capitano. . .no fee for lunch and truly excellent

*Guy's Burger Joint. . .I am not a burger eater, but I had several of these with the delicious

french fries and toppings

*Tandoor. . .Indian food, very good, a bit spicy

*Deli. . .sandwiches made to order

*Salad Bar. . .nice choices every day

*Marketplace Buffet. . .different theme every day such as Caribbean, Italian, French

Many more choices, too numerous to mention here.

On sea days, they also had several choices on Deck 5:

*Fat Jimmy's BBQ. . .did not try it, lines were too long but looked and smelled delicious

*Oceans. . .hand tossed salads with your choice of toppings, etc.

*Bon Sai Sushi. . .charge for this option

There were always plenty of seats for dining at lunch time. In fact, there were also available

lounge chairs, seats, etc. during the entire cruise.

For dinner, we opted for "Your Time Dining" which was on Deck 3, Sapphire Dining Room.

Every night we ate a different time and had different servers. Food choices were plentiful, food very good quality, and service very good. No complaints.

The cruise director was Butch Begovich and he was extremely entertaining and personable. One of the most enthusiastic cruise directors we have seen in a long time.

The casino was great and was very kind to us this voyage. Also, not a lot of smoking in the

casino which made it very pleasant.

Here are the negatives: The entertainment!

Since this is Carnival's newest ship, we thought the entertainment would be outstanding. . .it was not. There was no live orchestra or band and everything was high tech. The three production shows were like watching music videos. That would have been fine to to that for one show, but not all three. Latin Nights and Divas were good, but The Brits was awful and we almost walked out. They also repeated the shows on several nights, so if you already saw the show you would have nothing new to see for that evening.

Also, there were two fine comedians on board but they only had comedy shows on 2 nights!

They should have been spread out throughout the cruise. Also, when we went to see the show on the second night, it was the very same material!

They had 2 deck parties this cruise, 2 nights back to back. I thought that could have been spread out a bit.

If entertainment is very important to you, don't pick this ship. If entertainment is not a concern, this is a great cruise choice.
