Firstly would like to say some of the reviews leave a lot to be desired. We booked our cruise on Jan 2012. We flew from dublin to venice the day before our cruise and stayed in Quarto d'altino this was a perfect location where the train station is at the back of the hotel with train running regularly to central venice at €5 per person return journey of about 25 min.

Checked into our hotel after a free hotel shuttle bus collected us from airport lunched and went on train to Venice when you come out the steps of the train station the city stretches out in front of you I must say I was awe struck at the site. We toured on foot for half a day and found fantastic little cafes off the tourist trail had a fab pizza which turned out would have fed us both but of course we had one each !!!

Back to hotel to prepare for the cruise ahead ordered a taxi who arrived promptly the next day and dropped us at cruise terminal where we were quickly ane efficiently dealt with by very pleasant MSC staff the terminal building for anyone who didn't cruise before was like an airport terminal where you got a welcome drink and were treated really well on a rota basis we were left on board after going through security with your hand luggage. Once on board we were shown to our cabin immediately and it was clean and comfortable an outside cabin with a big square window which gave us a good view next time would book a balcony just for the extra space even though we only stayed in cabin to sleep.

Cabin Review

Great cabin really well looked after by our cabin gentleman only complaint shower small if you were overweight you would struggle !!!

but suited us fine no 1181
