This was our fifth cruise and our second (and last) on NCL. The food was bad, very bad. We had bugs in salads, cold food, the wrong food, and the wrong drinks. We gave up and spent over $600 eating on shore.

With the exception of our cabin steward, the service from the all American crew was terrible. Apparently, this young crew got drunk every night because they acted as if they were hung over. I am still waiting on the condiments for my baked potato. The presentation of the food on the buffet was deplorable. There was never any open seats in the buffet. One day, we cleared a table by putting the dirty dishes on the floor. When we finished our meal, the dirty dishes were still sitting on the floor.

The two main dining rooms were never more than 20% occupied, because the food and service was terrible. Dress code was not enforced. People were allowed into the main dining rooms in shorts, T-shirts and no shoes. The 700 Ricoh employees on board booked the specialty restaurants for the entire week, which left us with few options. We tried the sports bar but the cigarette smoke was so thick that you could cut it with a knife.
