After reading many reviews before sailing on The Voyager I was beginning to wonder what we were in for but I can recommend RCL and The Voyager 100%.
Arriving at the Quay in Sydney we were absolutely star struck by this beautiful ship. The boarding was great, I couldn't believe how many staff were on hand to make it happen with very little fuss. Once on board we decided to off load the carry on items and venture up stairs to take in the view of Sydney and her beautiful harbor, where we were greeted by friendly staff wishing us a fabulous cruise and asking if we would like to celebrate the occasion with a drink from the bar, and wising us up to the best way for us to purchase our drinks while on board which was a great help, being first time cruisers.
Our stateroom was on deck 6, cabin 6578 with a balcony, it was very nice and the balcony I can recommend for the extra cost as it was wonderful sitting out there as you arrived into the ever changing ports in NZ, along with a great place to dry any personal items you may need to launder.
We mainly used the Windjammer for dinning as it was casual dress and isn't that what holidays are for....Food was varied and always fresh, great selection of fresh fruits etc. We dined at the formal dining room one night and met some lovely people.
The best part about the cruise is you could be as busy as you liked or you could just chill out and do nothing. Entertainment was very good, the ice show was amazing, along with the other acts on board. Karaoke in Cleopatra's Needle was a crack-up and better than an nights viewing on TV.
Never having been to NZ we were given a little taste of a very beautiful country as the shore excursions were excellent including the prices.
We found this cruise great, although I would agree with one of the previous reviews that stated that the biggest problem on this ship were some of the passengers themselves, we could not find fault it was beautiful and thankyou especially to Arturo & Emerson who were wonderful to us.
