Enjoyed the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas. The ship was wonderful, with many activities for grandchildren and adults. The shows and ice show were highlights during the evenings.....Enjoyed the three ports of call, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, (esp Dunn's River Falls) and Labadee Private Island in Haiti.
Service staff, both cabin and dinning room were excellent!
Only negative was the food did not match the hype. Had much better food, both quality and selection on Holland America, Carnival and NCL.
Eldest daughter got married on the ship on the day we first sailed. The ceremony and location of the wedding was very nice, coordinator did a great job, only problem was arranging issues (keeping in contact with coordinator, long waits between the company responses to phone messages or e-mails) The cost was reasonable other than the photo packages. When we wanted to add additional photos to the (package we did purchase in advance) could only purchased other photo packages at significant cost, we were disappointed that we could not purchase individual pictures to supplement the package we had pre-paid. We were told that this was a fleet policy.
