My family (me, my wife and son) were planning this cruise for 2 years, that was our first one and we were looking forward to it. We booked the cruise to Key West and Cozumel. We wanted to see Key West very much, booked shore excursions and were planning to spent there some time, exploring this wonderful place.
However, the captain didn't stop there, he returned the ship from half-way back to the port of Miami, because somebody from his crew felt seek. Then the liner went directly to Mexico. We didn't see Key West, our dreams didn't fulfill, we were tired by the end of the whole day sailing and very-very upset. My 6-year old son felt bad and disappointed.
The company didn't offer any compensation for that issue, just apologised for inconvenience and refused to make any refunds. Waist of money!
From other deficiencies need to mention long lines for breakfast (about 35 minutes to get cheeseburger, hot dog or pizza), poor entertainment program and restaurant menu, half of elevators were broken, so it was not easy to reach upper floors. Shore excursions were organized so that you can choose only one in the morning and than be bored the rest of the day at the ship or at the port. Also very disorganized embarkation - we received our luggage only when the ship left the port, so couldn't change our warm clothes to shorts and t-shirts (we came from northern states). Debarkation in the port of Cozumel was awful!!!
They kept all passengers on the first floor, so it was so many people, we could hardly breathe. And it lasted for almost an hour!!!
In generally, we were very upset with our first cruise, and not sure if we'll spend another vacation onboard.
