Ship Facts: Celebrity Infinity Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Infinity Deck Plans
Celebrity didn't make the grade and neither did Aqua Class
We wanted a Christmas and New Year cruise to South America and Celebrity's itinerary seemed to fit the bill. The agents highly recommended Celebrity for its ships, its cabins, food and service. The price of its premium cabins x 4 should have reflected this view. I am afraid Celebrity did not live up to this in a number of ways.

The first thing I would say is the itinerary was wonderful, South America, the ports and rounding Cape Horn was everything we had hoped for. The weather treated us well and the scenery was amazing. I would highly recommend this part of the world if you have it on your bucket list do it. However don't necessarily do it with Celebrity.

The Aqua cabins were very nice, not spacious, but clean, tidy, functional and well maintained. The balcony got a lot of use through the Chilean Fjords early morning and late at night. Cabin service was as expected, not amazing and not lacking in anything.

The biggest issues were the range and quality of food and entertainment. The food was plentiful but poor. The only decent food to be had was found in the two restaurants where you had to pay a supplement, SS America and Quisine. The main self service dinning area started adequate but quickly become repetitive, uninspiring and at times of poor quality. The main Trellis restaurant was like eating in the self service dining area but with table service. The food was not at all what we expected. Out of the 15 nights we ate in Trellis only 6 times preferring to pay for the better restaurants. Aqua class came with Blu restaurant access, we used it a couple of times only as it was little improvement on Trellis and are teenage children were unable to join us in the restaurant.

The entertainment had 2 or 3 very good acts. We enjoyed these, however, the rest was poor to terrible and one, embarrassing to listen to even though they payed every night in one of the lounges.

Embarkation and disembarkation was fine. Getting a couple of thousand people on and off would always have some challenge. However, tender days was unpleasant, poorly orchestrated and on a couple of days down right frustrating.

I would not seek out Celebrity again as they charge higher prices and I am afraid do not offer a premium product.
