A positively stunning ship that you truly have to see.
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Just got back from our 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise onboard the beautiful Oasis of the Seas. We have cruised many times in the past from Carnival to Princess and this is the best designed class of ship. Embarkation was a breeze, within 15 minutes we were on the ship.
This ship offers plenty of deck seating and a nice separation area for adults. With so many pools and hot tubs it never felt crowded.
The food options are terrific. We did not purchase any of the optional meal packages. The selection and quality was excellent from the buffet to the main dinning hall. With so many included restaurants, no need to pay extra.
We purchased a soda package option and shared it. Drink prices on board were less expensive than many local places. Beer started at $4.25.
We signed up for cruise critic meet and greet before going on the cruise and that worked great. Very informative, free and we won 2 nice bottles of champagne on the 2nd day.
The ports of More call were ok. My son played soccer on Labadee with a group from the ship. A very nice lunch was served. In Falmouth we booked an excursion online for Dunn's River falls and Tubing. In Cozumel we booked another excursion with www.allprotours.com our guide Jorge was fantastic. We saved $100's over the ships prices. We did the Rhino/snorkel tour.
We did the walk off disembarkation our self at 6:30 am it was a breeze. Less
