We sailed to Alaska on the Seward to Vancouver itinerary in June. This was not our first cruise to Alaska, but our first cruise on Royal Caribbean.
The Bad:
With the addition of several for-fee restaurants on the Radiance, I think the quality of food at the Cascades Dining Room and the Windjammer Cafe has dropped. The food at the Cascades Dining Room is decent, but nothing to write home about. The Windjammer buffet, however, had some poor food. I would suggest that if you are going on a cruise specifically for food, the Radiance of the Seas is not your cruise ship unless you want to pay for the for-fee restaurants.
The production shows on board the Radiance of the Seas are, unfortunately, some of the worst that I have seen. The dancing is basic, and the singing is not very good. However, the comedians and other entertainment that the ship brought in was excellent.
The Good:
The ship was beautiful and was not short on activities. The rooms (both the balcony and inside) were nice. Alaska is always an amazing destination, and our shore excursions were all excellent! Service was also wonderful.
Embarkation and disembarkation was great and fast!
Overall, this was an OK cruise and good enough for me to book another RCL cruise.
