We arrived in NOLA 2 days prior to our December 29th sailing aboard the Navigator of the Seas. We enjoyed our time in NOLA despite the rain and cold weather. We went to the cruise terminal a little early on the morning of our departure but it really paid off because there were no lines and we quickly boarded without a hitch. Once aboard we had to wait a little while for our cabins but that was no problem because the Windjammer opened and we enjoyed a nice lunch while we waited.
Although we didn't leave the port until around 5:30 that afternoon we took that time to become aquainted with the ship. By the time we left it was time for our dinner. We found the main dining room and the dining room personnel to be top notch. We enjoyed every meal we ate there and the service was superior. The staff did everything they could to make our dining experiences as perfect as they could and we had no complaints. We also ate breakfast and lunch there a couple of times which were also delicious!
Our cabins were interior and served us well for the time we spent in them. The first couple of days were spent at sea and they were windy and cold. Once we arrived in Jamaica the weather warmed up and was nice for each port day. The ports of call were nice and we enjoyed visiting Jamaica, The Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Jimmy our cruise director was the bomb and tried to fill every day with something that appealed to everyone. The enterainment was excellent! The parade, street party and NYE celebration were so much fun. The Navigator is a beautiful ship and her crew works hard to ensure fun, good health and safety for all! We hope to sail again with RCI!
