Ship Facts: Mariner of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Mariner of the Seas Deck Plans
Family enjoyed New Year's cruise
Our family of 21-- ages 6 - 76 had a great time. Before I get into the details I want to mention that Luca the conceriage was the best we have ever encountered. This was our 3rd cruise with RCCL on the voyager class ships.

We arrived at 11 15 and were on the ship by noon. Couldn't get in our stateroom so had lunch in the wj. After lunch we got in our room. Luggage arrived at 5 pm.

We found the ship to be in relatively good condition. Apparently there had been some illness on the prior cruise and the ship was sanitized before we boarded.

We heard of no cases on our cruise. There were nearly 3600 passengers with a lot of families. Many people from Texas and Mexico. Overall a very friendly group of people. We had great weather except for the last day at sea.

The new hot dog stand by the pool was a nice addition. Our group mainly ate in mdr. A few couples ate at Chops and Giovanni's. They enjoyed their meals there. The mdr was as good as could be expected. We had 2 tables with the same waiter (ok) and asst waiter (vg). We had dinner in the room 1 night and it was good. Many of group had breakfast in the mdr which is very nice. Those with small kids had breakfast in the room and they enjoyed that.

We went to a beach in Roatan and although quite crowded , it was a fun time.

In Belize all 21 went on a cave river tubing tour. My son arranged it direct through the Internet. Although a little tiring, because of a 30+ minute walk, it was a great day. We went through 2 caves and the river and had lunch in a local restaurant for $40 p/p. Our 3 guides were terrific. On the hike to the entry point they explained the flora and fauna there. I highly recommend

We went to Paradise Beach Club in Cozumel. It was a great place. Admission is $2 with a $10 minimum for food and drink. Prices were reasonable. There is an additional charge for the inflatables that the kids played on and use of paddle boards, kayaks etc.. The place was very clean and the water was beautiful. Free wi-fi was a plus. Cab fare is $28 for 6 people.

This was the only negative. Not RCCL's fault but the US Immigration Service. They did not have enough agents and it took 1 and 1/2 hours to get out of the building.
