Just arrived back from our cruise to Tenerife visiting the Canary Islands and Madeira and Morocco. On arrival we went through the usual passport terminal without a hitch and swiftly to our cabin which was on deck 6. It was clean and re upholstered but so tiny. The wardrobe is only suitable for a single person so we had difficulty storing all our clothes as we were to stay an extra week in Tenerife after the cruise. The cabin was really quiet did not hear a thing and could not hear it move at all.
The Thomsons shows were not as good as they once were but OK. They were a bit disapointing considering the excellent shows they used to do. However the food was very good. Safes were charged at £15 per week.
The drinks were as at home but we were AI, be aware if you want Vodka to ask for Smirnoff vodka or they will provide you with their own brand which is not so good.
As you sit were you please on this ship the waiters are fighting for your custom ( for tips)which is More
just a shame as they loose out really. The first night 2 of the waiters on our table were competing, every time they came to the table were saying my name is Rik my name is Roly they were so demanding that one of them spilt a glass of water over me in the rush, so we made sure we did not get these waiters again.
A rocky sailing over to Morrocco and people were complaining of the noise from lower decks at the back of the ship. A good cruise BUT!!!
The 3rd day after we arrived we had noticed quite alot of people coughing and by the 5th day even more people were taking ill with coughs and sneezing. We could not wait to get off the ship because of this. It was running through the ship like a plague. Once we reached our Hotel in Tenerife it was noticed nearly everyone had this cough including our party of 4 which 2 of them took to there bed as it was making them ill. Now we don't know if this was caused by the air con on the ship or not but just to say we all got poorly by the end of the holidays. We are at home now and 2 of the party are still poorly with chest infections have been given medication from the GP. So anyone going on the Majesty take bottle of cough medicine with you and take care. Enjoy yourself. Less
