Ship Facts: Celebrity Eclipse Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Eclipse Deck Plans
Every day a disappointment.
As Elite members, this cruise was planned as the highlight of a 7-week cruise experience on 3 different ships and cruise lines. Instead it turned out to be he biggest disappointment. Boarding was disorganized because photographs could not be taken at check-in. We were shunted to an outside deck and never welcomed on board or provided dirctions.

The dining room at dinner was so dark we could not read the menue and the tables were so close together that the waiters banged inot us whenever they brought food to our table or the one next to us. There was no parade of baked Alaska, we were told, because the aisles were too narrow.

There is a lack of storage space in the cabins and no clothesline in the shower. Often our towels were unravelling on the edges. While beautiful, the elevators are wider in back than in front so it is often difficult to get off without making every one else get out first.

The guest entertainment was poor. One performer was actually drunk when he got on stage.

Information about ports of call was often out of date.

Disembarkation was a nightmare. We were told to leave the ship only to stand in line for 45 minutes in the heat before we could get into the terminal. There was another line there to get a porter, which took another hour. When asked, we were toldd that Celebrity did not contract for enough porters to service the number of passengers who want or need them.

My husband had some items confiscated when we boarded. However, we were told that they would be returned before we left the ship. At the gangway, however, we were told we had to retrieve them in the terminal. They were not there and it took another 60 minutes of running around to find and claim them.
