I just want to say, we came back from this cruise very happy with everything....no complaints at all. We had 'anytime' seating and what we did was either just show up to eat or we made reservations the day before and were given the times we wanted. Our waiters were exceptional! Every night that we ate at the regular dining room, we never had any problems or concerns. Our waiters recommended certain items, and told us that if we get it and don't like it, we can have whatever else we want, but that never happened. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The food came out within a good time frame and hot. Never a problem there.
The wait staff we had and the wine steward we had were fabulous! We went to each of the specialty restaurants once and thoroughly enjoyed them, but that was plenty. Who can eat like that every night? Also, we enjoyed the Oceanview Buffet for breakfast.....if you couldn't find what you wanted there for breakfast, then you shouldn't be on a cruise. They had More everything you could think of, and then some!
We enjoyed the entertainment, especially Lemon Squeezy, but we also thought the singers and the dancers were great....although they definitely should fix the singers outfits as they were really unflattering! And the Russian husband and wife team who did the lifting and balancing act.....WOW, just incredible. The only less than perfect thing we could think of was Ben the cruise director. We didn't see him around the ship at all, except at the shows, where he wore the same suit each time. We have been on other cruises where the cruise director has been awesome....unfortunately, this wasn't the case. He underperformed in our estimation. We also think it was a cruise for mostly adults, even though it was over Christmas Vacation and there were lots of kids on board. And, yes, we did encounter a few rude people, but with 3,000 people on board, that is to be expected. You just have to either ignore them or move on away and realize that this is probably how they treat everyone they come in contact with.
We have high expectations and this is our 5th cruise with Celebrity and we weren't disappointed. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to do it again!!
