This was our second holiday cruise on R.C., last time on Liberty which was better.
Embarkation was a breeze and a delight. Fast, efficient, festive.
The ship - beautiful, clean, great art work. Not 'Christmasy' enough for me. Liberty had Santa's, reindeer displays, gingerbread houses etc. Allure.... snowflakes and one big tree. Not so festive.
Room and attendant - good as all other cruises and lines.
Room Service Menu - very limited. Not good compared to other lines.
Ports: Nassau: did a walking tour on our own. Not much to see. Next time, I will go to Atlantis by taxi.
St. Thomas: 5 hour tour for $30 pp. by Godfrey Tours: shopping, touring and beach time. Fabulous. Look him up.
St. Maarten: 2 hour tour (supposed to be 3) by JoJunie Tours: Picked us up in a nice van and changed us over to an old van a few streets away. The van had pull down seats made for kids not adults. Very uncomfortable. Then, raced around the island and finally, beach time was cut out because most on the bus did not want to stop in the overcast weather. What? $40 pp., Lousy.
Time on the ship: Shows are first rate all but the comedy (not funny- people walked out- tried to be humorous bringing them back. Really?)Chicago, Blue Planet, Aqua Show, Headliner all great. Solarium for adults is great. Lots to do for kids! Dining room- new and better menu from previous years.
Would I return: On R.C. yes, but not on Allure until they change the shows.
