Embarkation was super quick (fastest I have ever had in my 5 sailings). They had all of the drink/restaurant up sell booths nicely arranged in one area but did not apply much pressure. We had our baggage within 2 hours.
Rooms are very small and very tired. They were clean, but worn and very dated. I was shocked to see a tiny little tube TV in the corner, didn't know they existed anywhere.
For us this ship was too small. My husband likes large ships with lots of things to walk around and see or do. We went with this particular cruise just because of timing and length.
Freeport was a big disappointment. I wish they had of warned us that at Christmas most stores (at the end of the $10 pp cab ride) would be closed and there is virtually nothing to do on the beach. We found one place to buy a drink and it was no where near any lounge chairs to rent etc. We ended up going back after an hour to the ship. Nassau was okay, we went to Blue Lagoon for the day. Upon return to Nassau we tried to go shopping and again found that most stores were closed (Dec 26th). Great Stirrup Cay was nice and worth going over to hang out at. We were disappointed that their Sting-ray encounter was no longer available yet it was still advertised.
We tried all of the specialty restaurants and found the food very good at all of them. We did however find the staff seemed "bummed out". They were not rude, but not happy or very friendly. Simply polite. This went for the whole ship. Maybe it was because they were working over Christmas
We will never sail a small ship like this again, and may not sail at Christmas again (due to port issues). We will try the new NCL Breakaway or Sailaway when they are launched.
Overall we had a good time, but not terrific.
