My family and i traveled on the Celebrity Summit last February vacation, and lets just say we will be going on the Celebrity Summit next month (February) again! The service was quite exceptional, and all staff had great recommendations, from a good appetizer dish,to a wonderful on-land excursion. The food was good, but from previous experience on the Celebrity Solstice it wasn't as impressive, however was fairly tasty and recommendable.
The children's program was decent, they did lots of things from games such as basketball on the outdoor court,or even doing scavenger hunts, sometimes they even watched movies, and played video games. Despite the vast amount of children on the ship, the children's program made sure, that not only the kids enjoyed the activities, but that the adults on board got the relaxation.
We did enjoy the entertainment on boar, and they sure had a lot of it! They had comedians, cooking shows, projected movies, and professional dancers and singers. We did lots of More
things on board each day besides visiting the gorgeous Caribbean, such as swimming in the pools, relaxing in the aqua lounge, taking jogs around the sky deck, grabbing snacks from the all-day buffet. Overall,it was an amazing experience, that included many fine memories, that we look forward to experiencing next month.
By the way, before traveling the Celebrity Summit we had also gone on the Carnival Cruise Line a few years ago,and two years ago we traveled on the Celebrity Solstice which was completely fantastic, but the favorite cruise was with out a doubt the Celebrity Summit. Less
Beautiful! In addition to the self-planned snorkeling adventure,we also went on the Celebrity Cruised Recommendation of a wonderful jeep tour of the island.Barbados was out favorite island,it was filled with rich history, beautiful wildlife, nice weather, and multiple beaches. On our snorkeling experience,we saw many colorful big fish, fascinating sunken ships, and sea turtles close enough to touch,in addition we saw wild monkeys, and met extremely nice people.
Even though it was the boarding port to the Celebrity Summit experience, and we only stayed a few nights,it was quite good.We experienced a safe environment, nice food,a good hotel, and a gorgeous boarding port.
Even though it wasn't our favorite island of the Summit experience,we still enjoyed taking a tour of the island and seeing waterfalls, wildlife, and volcanoes, and also stopping in local villages and buying all sorts of neat jewelery.
In St.Maarten we took a small boat to the other side of the island, seeing the perimeter was quite nice with rocky shores, clear water, and wonderful weather. Once we got to the other end of the island we went swimming with the dolphins, which was very fun,and memorable.
