We have returned recently from our cruise to N.Z. on Voyager of the Seas - We were less than impressed with the overall condition of this ship - Musty, stained carpets, mould in the bathroom (shower) etc. - to say nothing about the "sewage odour" in the corridors!!
we also thought the supervision of "hand sanitising" could have been better taking into account the Noro virus on board.
Because of understaffing, wait staff in dining rooms were literally running between tables limiting the opportunity for any extended contact with them - this was something we particularly enjoyed on Rhapsody. The quality of food was in our opinion somewhat less than what we experienced on our two previous cruises on Rhapsody.
The inadequate seating in the coffee purchasing area of the Promenade did nothing to contribute to an enjoyable experience - We had to search the bar areas for a seat - always requiring carrying our coffee some distance - frequently to another deck. The complementary pastries we so enjoyed on Rhapsody were replaced by a very ordinary choice which became unobtainable at 10.30am every day - why????
As indicated in our title we do not think Bigger is Better - if you want to go to a shopping mall you go to your local regional shopping centre - we were looking for a relaxed cruise. Perhaps Voyager is aimed at a different age group but she is not for us.
