Although Freedom of the Seas is a nice ship with an OK staff, there were a few disappointments. The pool was too cold to enter which is amazing for a cruise in this area. It felt like it was chilled. It was OK to sit next to, but a shame I could not swim on sea days. The music was way too loud in the pool area where the big screen TV was playing music videos and movies non stop. It drifted over into the over 16 only area. The boarding procedures leave a lot to be desired! Everyone is herded into a long line that snakes through the building.

Getting off at Coco Cay and St. Thomas was so congested, my 3 traveling companions decided not to even try to get off the ship in St. Martin, which is a shame, because it was the least congested of all of the ports. Food was OK, but service was only good at dinner. Breakfast and lunch servers seemed to just want to push you through. No one seemed to understand the wine package except our evening wait staff. The Buffet bartender did not want to give me a bottle of wine on a couple of occasions, and the bars all said I had to get my wine where food was served and then bring it back to the bar area. A real pain if you ask me.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Very roomy - seemed as large as a mini suite on NCL, except the shower was tiny and the closet was small but adequate.
