Ship Facts: Freedom of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Freedom of the Seas Deck Plans
Anniversary Cruise
We arrived the day before embarkation and stayed at La Quinta Inn at Cocoa Beach. It was decent and they offered 40% off parking at the port. The next morning we headed over to Port Canaveral and arrived about 10:30ish, we got checked in and they started boarding at 11 am. The ship was decorated for Christmas and is beautiful. This was our first time on Freedom and while it is a big ship and holds a lot of passengers and crew, you never feel crowded.

Our suite was nice, actually bigger than the hotel room. It is located just in front of the whirlpool. You could occassionally hear chairs being moved, but nothing disturbing.

We ate breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer. It was usually good. They always have a lot to offer, so if you get something you don't like, just go back and get something else. We had the 8 pm seating in the dining room. I had emailed the dining room to request a table by the window and we were surprised that not only was it a table buy the window, but also a rare table for two! Again food was good, several time we couldn't choose one specific appetizer so we had two. And as always, if you don't like what you've ordered, they will bring you something else.

Activities and entertainment. Wow, always something to do or see. We caught most of the shows. Don't miss the magic show and stay for the whole thing. It seems like it's over but it's not a lot of people got up and left. Also the Ice Show is a must see. It was hard to do everything, so we'll have to make another trip.

Ports of call were all like we've read in reviews. Labadee, we were in a suite so we accessed Barefoot Beach. It was very relaxing, just floated in the water all day. Jamaica, that was our actual anniversary, we walked around the port and ventured outside the gate. It was just like we've read in other reviews. Book an excursion if you want to do something there. We did a couples massage on board. That was wonderful. In Grand Cayman we booked an excursion outside the ship to swim with the stingrays. That was fun. The last was Cozumel, we booked an excursion through the ship and it was also a lot of fun.

We had a great time, we relaxed a lot and will definitely go back with the kids next time.
