The Norweigan Star is a beautiful ship with a fantastic crew that delivers excellent service. The ship is decorated so nice, very well maintained. The food is absolutely delicious, with a great selection of choices. You may choose any dining room at anytime. Your dining never has to stay the same. The staterooms are very nice, with excellent use of space. We loved the large glass showers. The shows were entertaining, with good variety.

With all of this said, their swimming pool fees are ridiculous! $146.00 per person. It was cool in December when we went. The water temperature in the free pools was VERY cold! We were told, when we booked this cruise that the ship had heated pools. We also read it, on Norweigan Cruise Line site. However, it never mentioned there was a fee. Four days were spent in port of calls. That left just three (really 2) days to use the pool.

This is the ONLY cruise line in the entire industry to charge a fee in order to use a heated pool or sauna. So, it would have cost $73.00 per day to use. And, we probably would have been there only an hour. Figure it out, $73.00 per hr just to swim!! We were really disappointed to learn of this, especially since you don't find out until you are ready to use this facility. We felt like this was financial rape.
