Previous email posts have talked about the service (lack of) and the confusion on board. One would think after nearly 6 months of sailing the Breeze would have all of their "ducks in a row" - Not so much.
Yes out cabin steward was great and after giving him an "extra 40 bucks" on day one of the cruise - we always do that and think it means a bit of the extra touch.
Yes the Carnival ships a party ships and boy was that true - 2 fisted drinkers everywhere! The Serenity area for quiet adults was located right next to the water slides - perhaps an error in judgement.
Restaurants - good ones - Punchliners Comedy Brunch - great, Blush dining room - average, Ken the singing waiter thought highly of himself as he sang Frank Sinatra tunes - other than that I did not see what else he did as a head waiter.
Sushi Bat - great
The poolside theater showed only kids movies even at night. Something more than Up and Polar express would have been a nice change for adults and teens.
We cancelled our steak house dinner (extra 35 each) as we heard poor reviews.
SPA area great - Sarah was perfect for exercise tips and yoga.
Butch the cruise director was lots of fun and apparently he is quite the Carnival Celebrity - traveling ship to ship as the new ones come out.
A HUGE miss was the total lack of any evening shows. Some singing and dancing but the shows have been replaced by Hasbro Game shows. Perhaps OK during the daytime - but boring for adults at night.
Ports - St Thomas - very nice, Antigua and Tortola - small and not too may options for trips off the ship. Nassau - dear God let them please end the relationship with the Blue Lagoon - dirty and smelly with penned up dolphins - a cruel site. Let your kids see them in the wild and not want to ride them. (we did get a 50% refund after complaining)
Cabins - same as any other Balcony cabin, Atrium seemed dull with the color scheme (gold and burgundy) Not that I like teals and peach colors but these colors were dull and looked dirty.
Carnival Breeze it is what it is - a young party ship with plenty of kids activities. So if that is what you are looking for it is for you.
