We were looking forward to our cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. We both love cruising, and we don't usually cruise on large ships, but this is the only ship cruising Hawaii.
In past cruises, when we booked a suite, it was all inclusive of the mini-bar and all gratuities. Here, you have to pay for everything and at a very inflated price. After the very nice stay at the Waikiki Hyatt we were left with a bottle of wine that we placed in one of our suitcases. On embarkation this was x-rayed and sold back to us for $15!
Just to prove their goal of extracting every penny from their clientele they charge a $12 mandatory gratuity per day for bar, restaurant and all services from any passenger, even 5 year olds (I never saw a 5 year old at the bar!) The pettiness for every charge is ridiculous. The tip included in your final bill is unfair. Why should you tip someone who does not deserve it? On the other hand, maybe you want to give a larger tip to a very good staff member. We just felt like we were so ripped off for this whole cruise! We paid a lot of money for this cruise and we did not get what we paid for! We have gone on very inexpensive cruises before and got far more value!
Cabin small and due to aft view looked like the view from a lock up garage!
